Red Bull Takeaway to Feature Top Players in Unique Head-to-Head Competition
Chicago, Ill. – Red Bull is inviting America’s top amateur golfers to put their skills, strategy and focus to the test in the first-ever Red Bull Takeaway golf tournament. Contests featuring 36 athletes each will be held at two locations, Harry Mussatto Golf Course in Macomb, IL (September 12) and Kent State Golf Course in Kent, OH (September 27.)
The rules of Red Bull Takeaway are simple: lose a hole, lose a club. Competitors will play in a three round nine-hole, match play tournament with USGA Rules enforced. After each round, players will be re-seeded according to point totals. The player with the most points after 27 holes will be crowned the Red Bull Takeaway Champion.
Golfers with a handicap of 6 or less can submit an application to compete in the free event. The Red Bull Takeaway committee will review applications and select participants, notifying individuals two weeks in advance of each tournament.
