This was no ordinary uniform unveiling as a stage sat on one baseline occupied by former Fab Five member Jalen Rose, DJ Khaled and, eventually, John Beilein and the entire 2016-17 Wolverines men’s and women's teams. A giant banner read: “FORGED FOR GREATNESS,” the motto of Michigan's newly minted deal with the Jordan Brand.
As the banner dropped, The U-M men’s and women’s team, modeled the new digs — classically designed white, maize and blue uniforms. The uniforms will remind Michigan fans of the simple look worn by Rose's old Fab Five teams.
Michigan joins North Carolina, Georgetown and Marquette in men’s basketball and North Carolina and Georgetown in women’s basketball as Jordan Brand sponsored programs.
