POSITION SPORTS IS RETAINED BY THE NAISMITH MEMORIAL BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME IN SPRINGFIELD, MASS. TO MANAGE MEDIA RELATIONS FOR ALL EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, INCLUDING ITS SIGNATURE EVENT - THE ENSHRINEMENT CEREMONY.
The Hall of Fame announces its list of nominees for the following year’s class on the birthday of basketball - December 21st. In recent years, Position Sports has worked with ESPN’s “The Jump” to report this exciting news. The list of nominees is then trimmed down to finalists, as announced at the Hall of Fame televised media event at NBA All-Star weekend. The official announcement of inductees is then made from the NCAA Men’s Final Four on ESPN with the Enshrinement festivities taking place at the end of the summer each year in Springfield. Over 100 media outlets from around the world annually attend the events, with additional phone and radio interviews coordinated by the Position Sports. We are honored to facilitate the media journey of Hall of Famers such as Michael Jordan, Lisa Leslie, Yao Ming and Shaquille O’Neal.
