Leading the charge at Grand Canyon University's prestigious Colangelo College of Business named after Arizona businessman and sports executive Mr. Jerry Colangelo. Mr. Colangelo has delivered top athletic teams to Arizona, help lead Team USA to 4 gold medals in international competition and was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2004.

Today, the Colangelo College of Business has redefined each program including the Sports Management program. With the help of Mr. Colangelo the program has grown into the premier sports business program with over 700 students. As a result, the GCU Sports Business Club has gained attention all across the country. The goal of the program is to help students to learn about relevant sports business topics such as: Sports media, marketing, sales, events, ethics and servant leadership.
